Department of Computer Engineering was established in 1999 with an intake of 60 students. The aim of the department is to establish a state of the art knowledge centre in Computer Engineering Research which produces engineers imbibed with the spirit of professionalism & responsible citizenship. The department has well-equipped laboratories, highly qualified & experienced & devoted team of teaching faculty members. Conducive learning environment exists in the department for both students and staff. High-quality technical education keeping in mind the industrial requirement is provided to the students in the areas of Computer Engineering in order to meet the challenges of the industries. The department has a Students mentoring Scheme to assist the students in their learning difficulties and to monitor their academic performance regularly. Mentors interact with students and offer them emotional as well as academic support along with motivation. The department caters to the needs of Computer Engineering sector by imparting a requisite knowledge to the students, in the field of software development, Information Technology and Software Testing, Software Engineering, Computer Networks, Mobile Computing and many advanced topics. Since the inception, the department has made tremendous progress in terms of good academic result and student placement in software industries and also in staff development. The various curricular and co-curricular are being conducted through Skilled and progressive association of computer engineering students (SPACE).
