Courses Offered

Initially in the year 1999, Mahavir Polytechnic emerged with four years Diploma of Engineering courses in the fundamental branch of Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering and with an intake of 60 each. To meet the growing demand of skilled craftsman for the developing nation, our dynamic leader & chairman Mr. Harish Sanghavi took all pains in upgrading the College. Presently three year diploma programmes available in six major disciplines are:

Admissions Requirements

Admissions are awarded considering the marks obtained in English, Mathematics and Science at S.S.C. level or High School exam conducted by the Board of Secondary Education (MS) & its equivalent.

  • First Year : 35% Minimum Marks in S.S.C for All Category

  • Direct Second Year : Passed H.S.C.Examination with PCM or PCMB, ITI/ MCVC & Technical Vocational Course.

Admission are done through Centralised Admission Process (CAP) as well as direct Admissions (Management Quota) are also carried out.

Allotment of Seats

Seats are distributed as Institute Level / Govt. CAP Quota as per the direction of competent authorities. The institution is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE -Govt.of India), New Delhi, Affiliated to Maharastra State Board of Technical Educatin (MSBTE) and the Directorate of Technical Education Maharashtra State (DTE) Government of Maharashtra.

Academic Programme

The College is affiliated to MSBTE of Mumbai. The diploma engineering programme is a three-year programme spilt over six semesters. The MSBTE conducts the examinations twice a year besides the valuation. As it is in semesters, the academic programme commences in the month of July and ends up in October, after which examinations are conducted in the month of November. The next semester commences from December to March, winding up with examinations.
